Planning Your Trip

1. What types of trips do you plan?
WanderLamb specializes in custom vacations, cruises, family travel, multi-generational trips, destination celebrations, hosted group travel, sports and entertainment travel, and international adventures.

Whether you're planning a relaxing beach getaway, a European vacation, or a bucket-list experience, I'd love to help.

2. Do you book both domestic and international travel?
Yes! WanderLamb plans both domestic and international travel.

Whether you're exploring Colorado, Hawaii, Europe, Japan, the Caribbean, or somewhere you've always dreamed of visiting, every trip receives the same personalized attention.

3. Can you help if I already know where I want to go?
Absolutely.

Some travelers come with a complete itinerary, while others only have a destination, or simply an idea. Wherever you are in the planning process, I'll help refine your plans, recommend the best options, and coordinate the details.

4. What information do you need to get started?
The more information you can share, the better.

Your destination ideas, travel dates, budget, number of travelers, interests, and travel style all help me create recommendations tailored to your goals.

Don't worry if you don't have everything figured out, that's what I'm here for.

5. Can you help me plan a group trip?
Absolutely.

Whether you're organizing a family reunion, destination celebration, wellness retreat, corporate retreat, friends' getaway, or your very first hosted group trip, I'll help coordinate the planning process from start to finish.

6. Do you work with first-time international travelers?

Absolutely! Whether it's your first passport stamp or your fiftieth, I'll guide you through every step, from choosing a destination and understanding travel requirements to preparing for departure, so you can travel with confidence.

7.  Can you help with passports, visas, and travel requirements?
Yes. I'll help point you in the right direction by providing general guidance and reminders about travel documentation and destination requirements.

Travelers are ultimately responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, identification, and meeting all entry requirements before departure.

8. What is included in your travel planning services?

Every trip is different, but my services can include destination recommendations, custom itinerary planning, flights, hotels, cruises, transportation, activities, travel insurance, and personalized support before, during, and after your trip.

9. Should I purchase travel insurance?
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Unexpected illnesses, weather disruptions, travel delays, cancellations, or lost luggage can happen. Travel protection helps provide peace of mind when the unexpected occurs.

I'll explain the available coverage options so you can choose the protection that's right for your trip.

10.  What happens after I book?
Once your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive access to your digital itinerary, travel documents, payment reminders, and helpful pre-departure information.

I'll also remain available to answer questions and provide support before, during, and after your trip.

11. What if I need to change or cancel my trip?
Plans can change, and I'll help guide you through the process.

Change fees, cancellation penalties, and refund policies vary by airline, cruise line, hotel, tour operator, and other travel suppliers. Whenever possible, I'll explain your options and assist with the changes.

Pricing and Payments

1.  Does it cost more to book through WanderLamb Travel?
Not necessarily. Many vacation packages, cruises, tours, and resorts are available at the same price you would find online.

For custom itinerary design, extensive research, or complex multi-destination trips, a professional planning fee may apply. Any applicable fees will always be discussed and approved before work begins.

2. Do you charge planning fees?
Many vacation packages and cruises do not require a planning fee.

However, custom itinerary design, extensive research, and complex travel planning may include a professional planning fee based on the scope of the request. Any fees will always be communicated before work begins.

3. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Many vacation packages, cruises, and tours offer flexible payment plans, allowing you to pay over time before your trip.

Payment options vary by supplier, and I'll help you find the schedule that best fits your budget. Financing may also be available through select third-party providers.

4. Can you help if I'm traveling on a budget?
Absolutely.

Meaningful travel isn't defined by how much you spend, it's about making the most of your budget. Whether you're looking for the best value or celebrating a once-in-a-lifetime occasion, I'll help you find options that align with your goals and priorities.

Before You Travel

1. When should I start planning my trip?

The earlier, the better. For international travel, cruises, and popular destinations, booking 6 to 12 months in advance often provides the best availability and pricing.

2. How far in advance should I book a vacation?
It depends on your destination and travel dates. I'll help you determine the ideal booking timeline to maximize value and availability.

3. Can you help me choose the right destination?

Absolutely! If you're unsure where to go, I'll recommend destinations based on your budget, travel style, interests, and the time of year.

4. What should I pack for my trip?

Packing depends on your destination and activities. Before you travel, I'll provide helpful packing tips and destination-specific recommendations.

Travel Policies and Requirements

1. What travel documents do I need?

Requirements vary by destination. I'll provide guidance on passports, visas, and entry requirements so you're prepared before departure.

2. Do I need a passport to travel?

A valid passport is required for most international travel. Some destinations also require visas or additional documentation.

3. What happens if my flight is delayed or canceled?

Airline policies vary, but I'll help you understand your options and assist whenever possible if your travel plans are disrupted.

4. Are there any health or vaccination requirements?

Some destinations require or recommend vaccinations or health documentation. I'll help you identify any requirements before your trip.
